Nigerian singer and saxophonist, Femi Kuti has spoken on his nomination for the Grammy awards five times.
The musician noted on his social media page that despite been nominated five times, he is hopeful that he would win one day.
The son of the late Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti noted that if winning the Grammy was his objective as a singer, hia late father might be disappointed in him.

He noted further that he spends bout five to six hours each day practising his instruments while finding inner peace and godly attitudes.
He wrote:“Five times now. Might win one day. But my father would most likely be very disappointed if that was my objective as a musician. I still put 5-6hrs everyday (practicing my instruments) finding inner peaceful and godly attitudes.”

Recall that the singer has been nominated on four several occasions according to Grammy.com site. In 2002 for Best World Music Album, in 2009 for Best Contemporary World Music Album, in 2011 for World Best Music Album and in 2013 for Best World Music Album.
