The Central Mosque, Abu Huraira Mosque, Gwallag Central Mosque, among others, benefited from the gesture.

She said that the gesture was part of the activities lined up to mark this year’s FOMWAN Week celebration, and listed other activities to include sensitisation of residents of Ningi and Dass Local Governments on the protocols of pandemic.
“As part of the annual celebration, FOMWAN in Bauchi sensitised the public in Ningi and Dass on the pandemic and guidelines provided by health experts.
“The celebrations were mild to comply with the social distancing guidelines and to avoid huge gatherings,’’ she said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammed Lawal, the Acting Secretary, Bauchi Central Mosque Committee, said that the gesture was timely.
Lawan said that the committee would make hand washing a regular habit, declaring that all entrants to the Mosque must first wash their hands.
He enjoined other associations to emulate FOMWAN and provide such facilities to the many worshipers who troop into the Mosque on daily basis. (NAN)
