*Limits passenger intake in public transport
GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike on Monday declared, closure of public parks, night clubs and cinemas, beginning from Tuesday, in furtherance or Rivers state’s aggressive measures to guard against residents contacting dreaded Corona Virus.
The governor who earlier ordered closure of all schools in the state further banned, in yet another broadcast, public burials, weddings and open religious worships while setting borders surveillance and constitution of local government monitoring teams on the global pandemic.

He said, “From Tuesday, March 24, 2020, all public parks, night clubs and cinemas in the state are to remain closed till further notice. After due consultations with religious leaders, all religious organisations are to temporarily stop all forms of open worship.
“Public burial and wedding ceremonies are also banned within this period. In view of the fact that the disease spreads fast through body contact, social distance has become imperative if we are to contain the spread.
