A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the immediate release of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi from detention.
Sanusi was allegedly banished to Nasarawa state immediately after his dethronement. Sanusi had sued the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and the DG of Department of state service, DSS, for detaining him against his wish.

However, after appointing him into KADIPA, report has it that the Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai, Friday morning, visited Sanusi in Nasarawa.
