Real Madrid Copa del Rey match against Real Sociedad was stopped temporarily after the home fans chanted for defender Raul Asencio to ‘die’.

Play was halted late in the first half as the chants aimed at the Madrid centre-back continued, resulting in a message being shown on the screens inside the Reale Arena.
The statement read: “No to racist, xenophobic and intolerant chants.
“Encourage and support the team while respecting the rival.”
However, Asencio was shown a yellow card towards the end of the first half and was then substituted at half-time as Madrid went on to win 1-0 in the semi-final first leg thanks to an early Endrick goal.
Asencio, 22, is one of several Madrid academy players under investigation over an alleged child sex abuse video scandal.
Asencio is having a breakthrough season under Carlo Ancelotti, having featured in 24 matches in all competitions this season – including six in the Champions League.
