Among them was President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria, accompanied by his wife, Oluremi, and a team of key officials.
For Nigeria, this summit was more than just an international event—it was an opportunity to strengthen the country’s position on the global stage and push forward socio-economic reforms that could shape the future of the nation.
The theme of the G-20 summit, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,” resonated deeply with Tinubu, who sought to engage in bilateral talks that would further Nigeria’s development goals.
With pressing global challenges like climate change, sustainable growth, and digital transformation at the forefront, the Nigerian president knew that his participation in these discussions was critical for the advancement of his country’s interests.
President Tinubu and his wife departed Rio de Janeiro after the summit, which took place from November 18 to November 19, 2024.

During his time in Brazil, Tinubu engaged in important bilateral discussions aimed at advancing Nigeria’s socio-economic reforms.

Tinubu was accompanied by key officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, highlighting the importance of this event for Nigeria’s future.
