The R&B track has now claimed the title of the most-streamed song in its opening week on YouTube Nigeria, amassing an impressive 1.20 million views and surpassing Fireboy DML’s Peru remix with Ed Sheeran, which previously held the record at 1.18 million streams.

The single has also broken records on Spotify Nigeria, marking the biggest opening day streams in the platform’s history for any African artiste.

This mid-tempo R&B fusion song, which showcases Wizkid’s signature sound, became the first African track to achieve over 1 million streams on its first day on Spotify, solidifying Wizkid’s position as a leading figure in Nigerian music and highlighting the rise of streaming in the country.

Piece of My Heart ushers in Wizkid’s Morayo era and sets the stage for his highly anticipated sixth studio album, scheduled for release on November 22, 2024.
