Recently, in the minds of every Nigerian, the date, August 1, only echoes one thing, ‘#Protest’.
Not even #GirlFriendDay, which is observed on the same day is enough to shift the attention of Nigerians from the #EndBadGovernanceProtest.
The level of momentum the #EndBadGovernanceProtest has gathered, has pushed many politicians into fear.
Consequently, the increasing demand for the #EndGovernanceProtest has left the Federal Government on a hot seat.
The mass demonstration is set to begin from August 1 to 10, across all the 36 states in Nigeria.
Now, as the D-day draws closer, the tension continues to grow.
This high tension has mounted so much pressure on the Government.
August 1
The fear is very obvious, in fact, many have said that if these politicians have their way, they will “cancel August 1 from the calendar”.
Funny, but it could be true.
There are strong speculations that there is nothing the President Tinubu-led government has not done to stop the August 1 protest.
Well, despite the quick approval and signing of the new minimum wage, rice distribution, etc. Nigerians said, there is no going back.
To many, the #EndBadGovernanceProtest is the only way to save the country from government of President Bola Tinubu.
The Federal Government had on several occasions begged Nigerians to exercise patience, but after enduring the ‘baby sacrifices’ as described by the president, Nigerians are insisting that the protest is the solution.
Nigerians Say They Are Prepared
If only you had heard Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, speaking during an interview on Channels Television, then you would under that “Nigerians are angry”, according to him.
Now, with just one day left to the great protest, many people say they are fully prepared for the protest.
