36 states, FCT IGR hits N986.29 in Q3 2019
The Internally generated revenue for the 36 states of the federation and FCT hit N986.29 billion in 9 months compared to N692.49 billion recorded in the first and second quarters.
A breakdown of the total value shows that Five states which includes; Lagos, Rivers, Ogun, Delta, Kaduna and FCT had the highest  IGR (January-September)  at N297 billion, N107 billion,52.86 billion, N49.51 billion N28 billion and N55.72 billion respectively, while states with the lowest for the period were Yobe, Gombe, Taraba, Ebonyi, and Kebbi at N3.34 billion, N4.24 billion, N4.72 billion, N5.64 billion and N5.93 billion respectively.
Seven states recorded growth in IGR while Thirty (30) states and the FCT recorded decline in IGR at the end of Q3 2019.
Further breakdown of the total value shows that at the third quarter 2019, states and FCT IGR figure stood at N293.80 billion representing a 25.12 percent decrease compared to N392.38 billion recorded in Q2 2019. This indicates a negative growth of 25.12% quarter on quarter.
Similarly on quarterly basis, states with the highest IGR includes; Lagos, Rivers, Ogun, Delta, Anambra and FCT at N91.933 billion, N31 billion, N23 billion, N13 billion, N8 billion and N17 billion respectively.
While states with the least IGR in the quarter includes; Yobe, Kebbi, Taraba, Ebonyi, and Bauchi at N1.13 billion, N1.2 billion, N1.4 billion, N1.72 billion and N1.74 billion respectively.
