The 2027 election is already building up tension in the country.
In Abia State, the drama is already on.
Nigerians were busy dealing with the lingering hardship, when the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, said he had something to say.
Apparently, it was a message to the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, ahead of the 2027 election.
Benjamin Kalu said he cannot be the number 6 citizen of the country and not deliver the state for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He emphasised that Governor Alex Otti and the Labour Party cannot retain power in the state in 2027.
The Deputy Speaker House of Reps said he had already told Governor Otti in private and public that APC will take over Abia State in 2027.
Now, Nigerians on social media have berated him over the ‘threat’ to Alex Otti.
Reactions
The statement has since sparked outrage among many Nigerians with many attacking Senator Kalu.
Others also expressed mixed feelings that Governor Otti might defect to APC before the 2027 election.
