Veteran comic actor Nkem Owoh, known as Osuofia, says he never planned his acting career.
He spoke on the Selah Meditate podcast and explained that he first worked as a scriptwriter behind the scenes.

At that stage, he never intended to appear on screen in any capacity.

Then, in the 1980s, a television station offered him a seven-minute stand-up comedy slot.
This opportunity came after his off-camera jokes repeatedly entertained production staff during filming breaks.
Initially, he hesitated, but persistent pressure from colleagues pushed him to accept the role.
Consequently, that decision changed his life and opened the door to screen acting.
