Peter Okoye Mourns Anthony Joshua’s Aides Killed In Lagos–Ibadan Crash

Nigerian musician Peter Okoye has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, both close aides of world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua.

Ghami served as Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer.

They were long-standing members of the boxer’s inner circle and played key roles in his career over the years.

Reacting to the heartbreaking incident via a post on X, Okoye described the loss as devastating.

Also, he extended heartfelt condolences to Joshua while offering prayers for strength and comfort.

He noted that the memories and legacy left behind by Ghami and Ayodele would continue to live on.

“This accident has shattered me completely,” Okoye wrote,

However, he added that while the loss was painful, he remained grateful that Joshua survived the crash.

Also, he prayed for divine guidance as the boxer navigates the difficult period.

The fatal accident occurred on Monday along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, when Joshua’s vehicle reportedly collided with a stationary truck.

The crash resulted in the deaths of the two aides, while Joshua and his driver were rescued and taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Following the incident, President Bola Tinubu and the Ogun State Government conveyed their condolences to Anthony Joshua and the families of the deceased.
