The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has officially married Queen Zaynab Ngohemba, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The development became public on Friday after a Facebook post by Abraham Double-D Dajoh.

A member of the Dajoh family, announced and celebrated the union.
Also, the post confirmed that Queen Zaynab has been formally welcomed into the Dajoh family home in Mbakor, Benue State, this December.
Describing the marriage as “beautiful” and “uncommon,” the Dajoh family expressed joy at receiving the former Olori into their lineage.
“We, the entire Dajoh Family, happily join our daddy, uncle and brother, His Excellency, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume Jugu Dajoh, in welcoming his new and uncommon wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh, into the Dajoh family,” the statement read.
The family also appreciated Akume’s political associates and supporters.
Also, he urges them to continue standing by him as he embarks on this new phase of life.
Queen Zaynab, formerly known as Olori Wuraola, was married to the Ooni of Ife for about 17 months before their union ended in 2017.
The news, which surfaced during the festive season, quickly gained traction across social and political circles nationwide.
However, Akume’s spokesman, Yomi Odunuga, clarified that although the public announcement was made recently, the marriage itself is over a year old.
“I can confirm the marriage. However, contrary to the rumour that it was concluded on Christmas Eve, the marriage has existed for more than a year,” Odunuga said.
Senator Akume, a former Governor of Benue State, currently serves as a top official in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
