Controversial Nigerian entertainer, Uche Maduagwu, has issued a public apology to Afrobeats star Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, over repeated online trolling.
Maduagwu made the apology in a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
He expressed deep regret for deliberately making negative posts against the celebrity couple.
In the video, the social media personality made a confession.
He said he was paid ₦2.5 million to ridicule Davido and his family online.
He revealed that he did not act alone.
He claimed that four other Nigerian influencers also received money.
According to him, they were paid to criticise the singer on social media.
Uche Maduagwu stated that Davido did nothing to deserve the attacks.
He urged others involved to come forward.
He also asked them to return the money they were paid.
“I was paid to ridicule your wife and your family. I’m not the only one, we’re like five influencers that were paid.”
“Davido has not done anything wrong. I want to apologise, please forgive me,” he said.
