Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu, has announced the cancellation of his annual TOE All-White Party.
This is a glamorous end-of-year celebration traditionally held on 23 December, in honour of the six staff members who lost their lives in the tragic September fire at Afriland Towers, Lagos.

This sent shockwaves through the Lagos business community after claiming multiple lives and leaving many organisations in mourning.
In a heartfelt message posted on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, Tony Elumelu revealed that he and his wife, Awele Elumelu, had made the “difficult decision”
The billionaire philanthropist explained that the loss suffered in the fire demanded a moment of “reflection and compassion,”
Also, he added that the period would be dedicated to honouring and remembering the employees who died in the tragedy.
