‘Please Take Control’: Nasboi Begs 2Baba To Address Viral Family Drama

He expressed heartbreak over viral videos and online reports portraying 2Baba in an uncharacteristic light.

In the touching message, Nasboi explained that he had always seen 2Baba as a model of humility and character—qualities that influenced him from the age of 16.

He highlighted that the African Queen star had long been known for avoiding public drama, opting instead for calmness and grace even during difficult moments.

Nasboi expressed concern that the recent online narratives were distorting the public’s perception of the iconic singer.

Also, he stated that the behaviours being circulated do not align with the dignified image many fans have cherished for years.

He acknowledged that every family faces internal struggles but emphasised that 2Baba had always kept his private matters out of public view.

The Letter

He wrote: “Dear King 2Face Idibia (2Baba), I feel genuinely heartbroken seeing some of the embarrassing videos and news about you circulating online. It hurts because you have always been my mentor. I’ve looked up to you since I was 16. I loved every bit of your music, your personality, and the humility you carried yourself with.”

Continuing his plea, Nasboi urged the music icon to regain control of the situation and protect the legacy

He said that the version of events currently being portrayed online is “damaging and unfamiliar”

He added: “Sir, you may have your private battles with anyone in your life—that is normal—but the version of events being brought online now is painful to watch. Please, sir… for the sake of people like me who have loved you from a young age… please take control of this situation. We still believe in you.”

The open letter ends with Nasboi reaffirming his admiration and concern for the star.
