The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa, wife of Nigerian music star 2Face Idibia, over allegations of misconduct linked to a recent incident involving the couple in London.
Hon. Natasha Osawaru, who represents Egor Constituency, is accused of bringing the House into disrepute following viral reports of a public altercation between herself and her husband, which reportedly led to the singer’s arrest in the UK.
During plenary on Monday, December 2, 2025, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku expressed concern over the negative publicity surrounding the lawmaker.
He noted that her actions have dragged the reputation of the Assembly into controversy.
“Distinguished members, of recent, this Honourable House, with cerebral and highly educated members, has been dragged to the mud for too long by our colleague, Honorable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru,” the Speaker said.
“For the past one week, she has been trending negatively both on electronic and social media platforms TVC, Silverbird and other stations.”
“We want the public to know that this House is decent and reputable. One member’s misconduct cannot drag the House to disrepute.”
The Speaker directed that Hon. Natasha appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week to respond to the allegations.
She is also expected to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against her.
The committee is required to submit its findings to the House within two weeks.
