The Facebook and Instagram accounts of Nigerian rapper and activist Eedris Abdulkareem have been suspended by Meta.
This is barely a week after he released a new politically charged single titled “Open Letter to Donald Trump.”

According to reports, the artiste’s pages were flagged and abruptly taken down, leaving him with no access.
Also, the timing of the suspension has sparked debate.
This comes shortly after the track was uploaded under his label, Lakreem Entertainment, on TikTok on 29 November 2025.
A Song Calling for Trump’s Intervention
In the new single, Abdulkareem appeals directly to United States President Donald Trump.
He urges him to intervene in Nigeria’s deepening security crisis.
Also, he highlights widespread kidnappings, killings, and terrorism.
The singer criticises Nigerian politicians whom he describes as “criminals of all shades and hues” who enrich themselves while ordinary citizens suffer.
He further sings “dem dey fear Donald Trump,” positioning the record as a global call-out to raise awareness about Nigeria’s escalating instability.
Controversial Release
Eedris Abdulkareem is no stranger to government pushback.
In April 2025, he released “Tell Your Papa,” calling out Seyi Tinubu and urging him to inform his father, President Bola Tinubu, about the harsh realities faced by Nigerians.
The National Broadcasting Commission banned the track for allegedly breaching the Broadcasting Code.
Earlier in his career, in 2004, his iconic protest song “Jaga Jaga” was banned by then-President Olusegun Obasanjo
