Reality TV star and Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has opened up about her views on having children outside marriage.
Speaking on a recent podcast, the media personality stated that although she is not actively planning to get pregnant out of wedlock, she would keep the baby if it happened unexpectedly.

Mercy noted that becoming a single mother would not negatively affect her life or reputation.
She insisted that the social stigma associated with single motherhood is mostly directed at women who are financially unstable.
According to her, successful women who become single mothers still receive admiration and even marriage proposals.
She said:
“I wouldn’t intentionally try to get pregnant outside marriage, but if it happens, I will keep my baby. I want three children — two girls and a boy, or even three girls. I love female kids. Even if I don’t get married, I will still have children. People don’t understand that the stigma attached to single mothers only affects women who are not doing well.”
Mercy added that she has numerous suitors but has yet to find the qualities she wants in a man.
