Renowned Fuji artiste Obesere was violently attacked by a feared Ondo-based thug, Michael Abbey, widely known as “Emir,” during a performance on Friday.
The assault reportedly occurred at a burial ceremony held at the Government Field in Okitipupa
This is where Obesere had been invited to perform.

According to eyewitnesses, a group of thugs stormed the stage unexpectedly and launched an attack on the musician and his crew.
The attack force the guests to scatter in panic.
In the ensuing chaos, Obesere’s manager, who tried to protect him, was stabbed with a broken bottle.
The attackers also made away with the singer’s mobile phone, wristwatch and gold chain.
Also, a bag that allegedly containing ₦4 million in cash.

Speaking to journalists, an eyewitness, Bosede Akinyemi, described the incident as disgraceful.
She recalls how the gang disrupted the performance and assaulted the artiste and his band members.
