Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has announced a statewide day of fasting and prayer in response to the continued rise in insecurity across the state.
In a broadcast delivered on Saturday, the governor explained that the decision was taken to seek divine help and guidance as security concerns persist.

“As a people grounded in faith, we recognise that our security measures must be supported by prayer. Therefore, I declare Monday, 24 November 2025, as a Statewide Day of Fasting and Prayer for peace in Borno State and across Nigeria,” he stated.
Zulum encouraged all residents, regardless of religious background to join in the spiritual exercise and pray for peace, stability, and development.

He added that united fasting and prayer would strengthen communal resolve
Also, it will bring much-needed comfort and hope to the people of Borno.
