Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has spoken out against the recent incidents of violence in Kwara and Kebbi States.
He condemn the attacks on worshippers and urges divine intervention.

His reaction follows the disturbing assault on a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, where suspected bandits attacked worshippers during a live-streamed service.
Nathaniel Bassey stressed that Nigeria remains a great nation and encouraged citizens to pray for strength, wisdom, and courage for the government, armed forces, and all stakeholders working to confront insecurity.
He wrote:
“I believe this is the time for those who trouble this nation—terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and those who support them—to face judgement. If we miss this moment, it may not come again.
Nigeria, in my opinion, is one of the greatest nations on earth, and that is why there is such contention against its soul.”
Also, he referenced Deuteronomy 7, noting the importance of overcoming obstacles to fulfil Nigeria’s prophetic destiny.
He added:
“It is a new season for Nigeria, and like in Deuteronomy 7, there are challenges we must overcome. Ignoring these issues will only delay our progress.
We pray for courage for the government, the armed forces, the intelligence community, and every stakeholder — including citizens — to rise with one voice.”
“Peace shall reign in Nigeria. Nigeria shall prosper and fulfil her prophetic destiny. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
