Popular comedian Cute Abiola has called on the Federal Government and the Kwara State Government to take decisive action following the attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku by suspected bandits on Tuesday.
Reacting to the incident, Cute Abiola said Nigerians are weary of repeated press releases and assurances that do not translate into real safety.

Also, he noted that a viral video from the scene, showing an elderly woman running for her life inside a church—perfectly illustrates the level of insecurity in the country.

“What happened in Kwara State is heartbreaking. Seeing that elderly woman running for her life inside a church—a place where she should feel safe—says everything about how unsafe we have become as a nation.
To the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Kwara State Government: Please, we don’t want another press statement. Don’t tell us you are ‘on top of the situation.’ We need action. We need results. We need protection.”
Nigerian DJ and producer DJ Neptune also reacted to the church attack.
He expresses concern about rising insecurity nationwide.
He recalled that the current administration had promised to curb insurgency, yet the situation appears to be worsening.
