Social critic and aide to the Delta State governor, Mr Jollof, has addressed the public following his physical altercation with social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM) inside an aircraft at the Asaba International Airport on Monday, November 17, 2025.
In a video statement, Mr Jollof apologised to the NCAA, his boss the Delta State governor his wife, children, fellow passengers and Nigerians at large for engaging in a public fight.
He explained that he was merely defending himself after VDM allegedly confronted him aggressively.
According to Jollof, “3,000 mg of blows” were delivered to VDM during the clash.
He added, “To my lovely wife, I know you are proud of me. 3000 mg was sent and it was delivered. Not by muscles.”
“To my kids, Daddy will never do this again. And to my boss, I am very sorry.”
“This is not my kind of person. I was only trying to defend myself.”
Narrating how the fight started, Jollof said he was seated on the plane when VDM began making provocative comments after some passengers hailed him.
He claimed VDM told him: “If we come down from this plane, I go slap you.”
“Make God punish your papa. I fit commot from here now come slap you.”
Mr Jollof said he responded by telling VDM to “behave yourself,” but VDM reportedly left his seat and confronted him, leading to the physical exchange.
Speaking on why he resorted to biting VDM during the altercation, Jollof said:
“Mike Tyson the fighter, he used what God gave him.”
“When you carry knife come gun battle, anything you see you go take am.”
