Champion Breweries Raises ₦15.9 Billion

The company will use the proceeds to acquire the Bullet brand, a key step that strengthens its domestic and international presence.

Consequently, this acquisition will increase scale, improve profitability, and enhance Champion Breweries’ competitiveness beyond Nigeria.

Rights Issue Details And Participation

Existing shareholders as of September 4, 2025 can subscribe for 994,221,766 shares at ₦16 each.

The company structured the offer on a 1-for-9 basis, making it the first phase of a two-step capital raise.

Soon after, the company will launch a Public Offer to complete its planned fundraising strategy.

Strategic Growth And Shareholder Value

Managing Director and CEO Dr Adoga Inalegwu called the acquisition a milestone that positions Champion Breweries for long-term growth.

He explained, “This transaction gives us the strength to compete globally and build a platform that resonates internationally.”

Furthermore, Dr Inalegwu urged shareholders to act promptly because the offer period remains time-sensitive.

Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited leads the Rights Issue, while FBNQuest, CardinalStone, Investment One, and CFG Maynard serve as joint issuing houses.

With the Bullet acquisition, Champion Breweries expands its footprint, unlocking high-margin growth opportunities both at home and abroad.

Overall, this Rights Issue represents a pivotal moment, combining strategic investment with shareholder value creation.
