In response, Senator Ned Nwoko released a statement refuting the domestic violence claims.
He instead accused Regina of substance abuse and exhibiting erratic, aggressive behaviour, adding that his family was doing everything possible to help her recover.

Actress Yvonne Jegede publicly defended Regina, criticising those spreading unverified claims and urging people to respect the couple’s privacy while they deal with their personal matters.
