Tracking Development Support
TOSSD, headquartered in Paris, tracks international funding supporting sustainable development.
Moreover, it monitors official finance, private funds mobilised through official support, and contributions to global public goods, such as pandemic preparedness.
The organisation aims to show the full picture of global support for the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has actively participated as an observer in TOSSD since 2017, closely following its initiatives.

Through the Technical Aid Corps (TAC), Nigeria has sent skilled professionals abroad to bridge educational and professional gaps in partner countries for nearly four decades.
Yakub explained, “EU states approved Nigeria’s full membership after a detailed presentation of TAC’s 38-year contributions.
Additionally, they invited us to join the TOSSD Steering Committee.”
Representatives from EU nations, including France, Greece, Norway, Qatar, and the Organisation of American States, attended the meeting.
With this new role, Nigeria can now influence international policies, share expertise, and strengthen its contribution to sustainable development worldwide.
Therefore, this milestone recognises decades of dedication and positions Nigeria as a growing global leader.
