President Bola Tinubu revealed that the EFCC secured over 7,000 convictions and recovered ₦500 billion in two years.

Furthermore, he addressed a three-day judicial workshop in Abuja through Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

The EFCC and the National Judicial Institute organised the event to strengthen judicial capacity.
Tinubu explained that this achievement demonstrates his administration’s commitment to fighting corruption and supporting judicial independence.
Redirecting Funds For Social Impact
Moreover, his government redirected recovered funds into social programmes, including student loans and consumer credit initiatives.
He emphasised, “No one can accuse this government of shielding political actors,” highlighting institutional autonomy.
However, he acknowledged public frustration over delays in high-profile corruption cases compared with swift cybercrime trials.

He added, “The judiciary serves as the last sanctuary of our collective conscience,” urging judges to uphold integrity.

In addition, he stressed that judges must stay informed on evolving crimes, from email scams to blockchain and cryptocurrency fraud.
Tinubu warned, “Corruption affects everyone; no position insulates anyone,” calling for ethical leadership nationwide.
Finally, senior judges and anti-graft officials attended the workshop to improve prosecution and enhance transparency in justice.
