Rapper and global superstar Nicki Minaj has deactivated her Instagram account as of Tuesday, October 21, 2025, following a series of explosive posts on X (formerly Twitter) that brought renewed attention to ongoing allegations against Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.

In her posts, Minaj shared clips and commentary surrounding a video made by Demoree Hadley, the daughter of Desiree Perez, who alleged she was falsely imprisoned in 2024 under Florida’s Baker Act a law that allows involuntary institutionalization for mental health evaluation.
The incident, according to Hadley, is connected to an ongoing 2025 Miami federal lawsuit, in which civil rights claims have moved forward despite Roc Nation’s extortion countersuit.
Minaj’s recent online activity has stirred widespread discussion across the entertainment industry and social media.
The rapper, known for her fearless voice and massive online following, also mentioned a series of “swatting incidents” false emergency reports made to law enforcement that have targeted her Los Angeles home in recent months.
She hinted that these incidents were attempts at intimidation or sabotage by unnamed industry figures.
The deactivation of her Instagram account, which had over 220 million followers, comes amid heightened scrutiny and speculation about tensions between Minaj and key players within the music industry.
Fans have since flooded X with messages of support, demanding accountability and transparency from those implicated in the allegations.
As of now, neither Desiree Perez nor Roc Nation has issued a public response to the latest claims or Minaj’s social media posts.
