Google and the World Bank have joined forces to bring AI to emerging markets.
Consequently, they aim to make essential services more accessible, efficient, and inclusive for all citizens.

Google Powers Digital Commons
To achieve this, the partnership combines Google Cloud’s Gemini AI models with World Bank development expertise.
As a result, citizens can now access digital services in over 40 languages, even on basic phones.
Moreover, the initiative creates a shared “digital commons” where governments, businesses, and citizens can innovate and collaborate.
Using Open Network Stacks, it equips governments with digital infrastructure for sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and workforce development.
Previously, Uttar Pradesh, India, demonstrated early success when AI helped farmers boost productivity and profits.

Reflecting on this, a World Bank official said, “This collaboration builds inclusive AI infrastructure, helping countries join a connected digital economy.”
Networks For Humanity
Meanwhile, Google.org funds the new nonprofit Networks for Humanity (NFH) to secure long-term sustainability.
NFH will leverage Beckn open network and Finternet asset tokenisation to develop universal digital infrastructure.
Additionally, it will launch regional innovation labs and pilot social-impact projects globally.
Ultimately, the project promotes equitable AI access, enabling emerging markets to achieve inclusive, technology-driven growth.
