Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, has shared his unconventional view on marriage, saying he’s open to the idea of an open relationship.
Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, Blaqbonez explained that many couples experience less intimacy over time and that it’s okay for partners to explore sexually with others when one person isn’t available.
“I don’t mind having an open marriage,” he said. “Most married couples don’t keep having the same amount of sex they had at the beginning it reduces.”
“If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling or touring, that’s okay. There’s more to marriage than sex.”
The rapper added that emotional connection and loyalty mean more to him than physical exclusivity.
“Nobody can just replace me. They might satisfy her sexually but can’t make her laugh or connect with her like I do,” he said.
Blaqbonez also revealed he would prefer separate rooms if he gets married, only meeting his wife when they both want intimacy.
