Nollywood actor Shawn Faqua and event planner Sharon Ifunanya Maduekwe have made history after exchanging vows aboard a moving Lagos–Ibadan train, marking Nigeria’s first-ever wedding held on a train.

The couple turned the train’s coaches into an elegant wedding venue, complete with floral décor, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and officiating ministers who conducted the ceremony while the train was in motion.
Celebrating the milestone, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) praised the couple’s creativity, writing:
“From lovebirds to locomotives, we’re keeping things on track. History made—the first-ever wedding on a moving train in Nigeria. Proof that the journey can be just as beautiful as the destination.”
The heartwarming ceremony quickly went viral on social media, with Nigerians applauding the pair’s originality, adventure, and love for innovation.
