Tiwa Savage, one of Africa’s biggest music stars, is known for her confidence, grace, and unmatched talent but in a recent heart-to-heart, she showed a softer, more vulnerable side.
Speaking on the American podcast Air Service, the mother of one revealed that at this stage of her life, her dating pool has become… complicated.
With a gentle laugh, Tiwa confessed that most of the men who can “really marry” her are either already in their 50s or married.
“If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married.
So, I don’t know. Maybe I can be a second wife,” she said, half-joking, half-serious.
But Tiwa didn’t stop there. She explained that if she ever found herself as a second wife, she wouldn’t cause any drama.
“I think I can get along with the first wife, and she’s going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome.”
“I’ll be on tour most of the time, I won’t stress you. I’m very respectful I’ll give her that respect as the first wife.”
Her candid confession sparked laughter, but it also reflected a deep honesty about love, timing, and the realities that come with success.
Tiwa Savage was once married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz, from 2013 to 2018.
Their union produced a son before ending in controversy and mutual accusations of infidelity.
Now, years later, Tiwa seems more at peace grounded, realistic, and open to love in whatever form it may come.
