In Ondo State, residents once struggled with inflated electricity bills, never knowing how much they would pay each month.
Then, in September 2024, the government began distributing over 13,000 prepaid meters to households and small businesses.

Prepaid Meters To Boost Business Growth
According to Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, “The meters reduce estimated billing, improve transparency, and boost investor confidence.”
As a result, small business owners now enjoy reliable electricity, allowing shops and workshops to expand, hire more staff, and increase productivity.
