Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has emerged victorious in her defamation lawsuit against a Nigerian news platform that linked her to former senator Dino Melaye in an alleged romantic relationship.
The legal battle spanned nearly two years, stemmed from a publication naming Adunni among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” accused of dating the politician.

The actress described the report as false and damaging, subsequently slamming the media outlet with a ₦100 million lawsuit for defamation and invasion of privacy.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate the ruling, Adunni Ade praised the Nigerian judiciary for upholding truth and justice.
She wrote: “Won my case — Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited ([www.naijanews.com](http://www.naijanews.com)). A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters — and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.”
The actress also hinted at other ongoing legal cases, noting that she has already won two.
“2 cases won, a few more to go. You who is running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still so that you can be served,” she added humorously.
Responding to fan inquiries in the comment section, Adunni revealed that the court awarded her ₦20 million in damages.
