Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has announced an ambitious immigration crackdown.
It promises to deport up to 150,000 migrants from the United Kingdom every year.
Unveiling her plan at the Conservative Party Conference, Badenoch said she would establish a new “Removals Force” modelled after the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.

The new unit would replace the existing Home Office Immigration Enforcement division and receive double the funding — increasing from £820 million to £1.6 billion annually.
According to Badenoch, the force’s mandate will be to “relentlessly focus” on removals, increasing deportations from 34,000 to 150,000 each year
This will total about 750,000 removals over the course of a parliament.
“They don’t belong here. They are committing crimes. They are hurting people,” she declared.
“I’m tired of us asking irrelevant questions about where they should go. They will go back to where they came from.”
Kemi Badenoch insisted that she had spent the past year designing credible and sustainable plans for government.
She assures party members that her long-term strategy would “pay off.”
Also, she maintained that the Conservative Party had “done the hard work” and urged supporters to keep their faith in her leadership.
The Tory leader admitted that her party had made mistakes in handling immigration in the past but accused Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s government of failing to get a grip on the situation.
“We must tackle the scourge of illegal immigration into Britain and secure our borders,” she stated.
Long-Term Plan for Tougher Border Control
As part of her reforms, Kemi Badenoch also confirmed her intention for the UK to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
Also, she argued it prevents Britain from deporting failed asylum seekers.
The Conservatives’ seven-point plan includes banning asylum claims by illegal entrants, repealing the Human Rights Act, and removing legal aid for immigration cases.
However, the proposal has drawn criticism from Labour’s Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, who described Badenoch’s plan as “lacking any credibility,”
Also, he argues that it would do little to address the root causes of the migration crisis.

Kemi Badenoch’s immigration stance marks one of the boldest policy proposals of the Conservative conference.
It aims to reshape Britain’s border control and redefine the country’s post-Brexit immigration framework.
