Burna Boy secured the number one spot, reaffirming his global influence in the Afrobeats scene.
Rema followed closely in second place, while Wizkid took the third position.
Asake, known for his consistent hits, ranked fourth, with Roc Nation’s latest signee, Ayra Starr, completing the top five.
One of the biggest surprises on the list was the absence of Davido, who is widely celebrated as part of the “Afrobeats Big 3” alongside Burna Boy and Wizkid.
His omission has sparked conversations among fans about the evolving shape of Afrobeats.
Spotify also shared data on Afrobeats’ global reach.
The United States emerged as the top consumer of the genre, followed by Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Nigeria.
