Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has earned global recognition after being ranked the fourth-best goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris on Monday, September 22, 2025.

The Nigerian international, who plays for Paris FC in France, secured a top-five finish in the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy a new award honoring the best female goalkeepers globally.
England and Chelsea star Hannah Hampton made history as the first-ever winner of the Women’s Yashin Trophy, following a stellar year in which she inspired the Lionesses to Euro 2025 triumph and helped Chelsea to a domestic treble.
Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger finished second, while Spain’s Cata Coll claimed third.
For Nnadozie, the recognition marks another milestone in her rapidly rising career.
Chiamaka Nnadozie first gained worldwide attention at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, when she delivered a Player of the Match performance in Nigeria’s shock victory over co-hosts Australia.
Since then, she has established herself as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers and a vital figure for both club and country.
Hampton’s award capped a remarkable season highlighted by 13 clean sheets in the Women’s Super League, a shared Golden Glove, and her decisive role in England’s European success.
