The United States government has reiterated its stance on corruption.
They warns that even high-profile individuals will not be spared from visa restrictions if found guilty of corrupt practices.

The warning was issued in a statement released on Monday via the official 𝕏 account of the U.S. Mission in Nigeria.
According to the statement: “Fighting corruption knows no borders or limits on accountability. Even when high-profile individuals engage in corruption, they can be barred from receiving U.S. Visas.”
The advisory shows America’s broader anti-corruption campaign under President Donald Trump, whose administration has continued to tighten visa requirements and immigration protocols since his second term began.
The development comes amid rising concerns in Nigeria, where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently linked visa restrictions faced by law-abiding citizens to the activities of internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo Boys.

EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, in a post on Tuesday via the agency’s 𝕏 account, urged Nigerian youths—particularly in the South-South region—to resist the lure of internet fraud and financial crimes.
He describes them as “a deadly trap that destroys lives and futures.”
