Prime Video has officially renewed its hit mystery-thriller We Were Liars for a second season, the streamer confirmed on Wednesday.
Based on E. Lockhart’s best-selling novel, the series centres on Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind), whose life is shaken after an accident on her grandfather’s private island.
Author E. Lockhart teased what fans can expect from the upcoming instalment.
The author stated that co-showrunners Carina Adly Mackenzie and Julie Plec “have big, big plans for Season 2.
This includes everything readers of my books are dying to see onscreen and a lot of surprises as well.”
We were liars Season 1 featured a star-studded cast including Shubham Maheshwari, Esther McGregor, Joseph Zada, Caitlin FitzGerald, Mamie Gummer, Candice King, Rahul Kohli and David Morse.
