ABC has indefinitely suspended late-night host Jimmy Kimmel
His suspension follows controversial comments he made regarding the shooting of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Disney-owned network confirmed that Jimmy Kimmel Live “will be pre-empted indefinitely.”
The suspension follows Kimmel’s remarks on Monday night, where he accused the “Maga gang” of trying to exploit Kirk’s death for political advantage.
Also, he further criticised President Donald Trump’s response to the tragedy, mocking his tribute to Kirk.
“This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish,” Kimmel said during his monologue, sparking backlash.
While Kimmel declined to comment when approached by reporters after the announcement, Trump celebrated the decision.
He calls it “great news for America” and later declaring on social media that “the ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED.”
Kimmel, who has hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! since 2003 and presented the Oscars four times, had earlier condemned the attack on Instagram, sending “love” to Kirk’s family.
