Shaun White and Nina Dobrev have officially ended their engagement.
This brings their five-year relationship to a close, according to a source who spoke with The Associated Press.

The insider, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, revealed that the split was a mutual decision between the three-time Olympic snowboarding champion and the Vampire Diaries actress.
White, 39, and Dobrev, 36, began dating in 2020.
They went public during the COVID-19 lockdown when Dobrev posted a playful photo of herself giving White a “quarantine haircut.”
Their relationship blossomed over the years.
The couple frequently shares glimpses of their travels and supporting each other’s careers.
Nina Dobrev was a constant presence as White trained for his fifth and final Olympic appearance in 2022.
Also, Shaun White proudly accompanied her to the Los Angeles premiere of her Netflix film The Out-Laws in 2023.
After placing fourth in Beijing, Shaun White credited Dobrev with encouraging him to create a post-retirement bucket list “so I’m not sitting around twiddling my thumbs.”
The pair announced their engagement in October 2024.
Despite appearing together in public as recently as August 31, fans noticed signs of trouble when Dobrev attended the Toronto International Film Festival without her engagement ring last week.
White has since focused on launching The Snow League, a professional halfpipe circuit aimed at creating more opportunities for snowboarders.
Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev is turning her attention to Hollywood.
