Onyinyechi Basil, representing Anambra State, has emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2025.
The 25-year-old beauty queen outshone 21 other contestants to succeed the 2024 winner, Chidimma Adetishina.

In her acceptance speech, she encouraged young girls to pursue their dreams while embracing their cultural heritage, saying: “I want young girls to know that they can achieve more, and still celebrate their cultural identity.”
With this victory, Basil will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 global competition.
Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, took the first runner-up spot.
Bayelsa’s Fortune Kurobo came second runner-up, while Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi, claimed third runner-up.
