Ajibade arrives in Paris after an outstanding year, having led Nigeria to its record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco, where she was named Player of the Tournament.

During her four seasons with Atlético Madrid, Ajibade became a fan favourite for her pace, creativity, and goal-scoring instinct.

She scored 40 goals in 136 appearances and was crowned the club’s Player of the Season for 2023/24.

“I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe,” Ajibade said after signing.

“This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere.”

The move also sees Ajibade reunite with her compatriot, Jennifer Echegini, who joined PSG from Juventus in 2024.

Together, the Nigerian duo is expected to play a crucial role as PSG aim to reclaim the French league title and challenge for UEFA Women’s Champions League glory.
