The founder of Ibadan-based Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, has apologised to Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and lifted the ban placed on his songs.

In 2024, Hamzat had barred the broadcast of Marley’s music on the station following allegations linking the singer to the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
However, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Hamzat issued a public apology during a live broadcast, announcing that Agidigbo FM would resume playing Marley’s songs.
“I am very sorry for all my provocative statements or words to Naira Marley. And now at Agidigbo radio station, we have lifted our legs up to march Satan and overcome obstacles,” Hamzat said.
“To that effect, from today onward, I am raising the ban placed on the singer’s tracks at Agidigbo FM. We can now play Naira Marley songs at our station,” he added.
To affirm his directive, the broadcaster immediately aired Marley’s hit song Tesumole.
