American-Jamaican singer Sean Kingston has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for his involvement in a $1 million fraud scheme centred around luxury items.
Sean Kingston, born Kisean Paul Anderson, was convicted in March alongside his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner

They are charges with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.
While Turner received a five-year sentence last month, Kingston faced his own judgement in a South Florida courtroom on Friday.
According to prosecutors, the “Beautiful Girls” crooner exploited his celebrity status to acquire high-value goods.
Also, it includes a bulletproof Cadillac Escalade, expensive watches, and even a 19-foot LED television, all without payment.
Court documents revealed he used falsified wire transfer receipts and enticed sellers with false promises of social media promotion.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Marc Anton labelled Kingston a “thief and a conman,”
He stated that he had spent years defrauding unsuspecting victims.
His attorney, Zeljka Bozanic, however, argued that the 35-year-old singer suffered from poor financial discipline and had begun efforts to repay victims.
Kingston and his mother were arrested in May 2024 following a dramatic SWAT raid at his rented Fort Lauderdale mansion.
