Ace Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charly Boy, has issued a stern caution to politicians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He declares that anyone attempting to manipulate the poll “should be ready to die.”

Speaking in an interview with Rudolf Okonkwo on 90MinutesAfrica, the septuagenarian, popularly known as Area Fada, stressed that the coming election will be a turning point for Nigeria’s democracy.
“The 2027 election will be a defining moment for Nigeria. Anybody that plans to rig should be ready to die. It is rig and die. By then, our eyes will be clearer. What we are about to see in 2026 will determine whether Nigerians continue this way or rise for a revolution,” he declared.
Charly Boy further noted that the only solution to Nigeria’s leadership crisis lies in credible elections where votes truly count.
“The solution to bad governance can only come when our votes begin to count. So, our focus now should be ensuring that votes count in 2027,” he added.
Meanwhile, reacting to the Lagos State Government’s recent decision to rename the popular Charly Boy Bus Stop in Bariga, the veteran entertainer dismissed the move as “outright silly and a bloody distraction.”
