Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo, has addressed viral claims suggesting that he disrespected the founder of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Apostle Ayo Babalola sermon.

In a strongly worded statement, Fatoyinbo clarified that the controversial video making rounds on social media was a deliberately edited clip, maliciously taken out of context from a longer preaching session.

Also, he described the move as a calculated attempt to incite outrage and division within the Christian community.

The devil thrives on strife,” Fatoyinbo stated.

This was not just an attack on me but on the unity of the church as a whole. The video was purposefully cut to mislead people and create unnecessary conflict.”

The COZA leader urged believers to always verify information and watch complete videos before forming opinions.

He warns against the dangers of spreading half-truths.

Also, he further emphasised his deep respect and admiration for the fathers of faith, including Apostle Babalola, acknowledging their spiritual impact and legacy.

This statement comes after widespread criticism from certain quarters, with many taking to social media to condemn what they believed was a slight against one of Nigeria’s most revered church founders.
